Frequently asked questions about our furnished apartments in Zurich

1. Lease Agreement and rental Period

a) What kind of lease agreement am I entering into?

You are entering into an open-ended lease agreement under the Swiss Code of Obligations—just like with any other apartment in Zurich. There is no upper limit on the lease term—many of our tenants have been living with us for several years.

b) Do you also rent out apartments for individual days or weeks?

No. We rent living space exclusively for residential purposes to people who are taking up residence in Zurich. We are not the right choice for short-term stays.

c) What is included in the rent?

We have no hidden costs. The rent is a flat rate and includes furnishings, utilities (heating, water, electricity, etc.), and an internet connection. Only the cost of the final cleaning is billed separately as a flat rate. There are no other costs.

d) Your safety is important to us. We only rent directly.

To protect you from cybercrime and rental fraud, we would like to inform you about our rental processes:

• Direct Rental: We are the owners and landlords. We do not hire any external private individuals to conduct apartment viewings or collect payments on our behalf.
• No Payments to Third Parties: We will never ask you to send security deposits or rent to private bank accounts or via cash transfer services.
• Official Contracts: Lease agreements are concluded exclusively directly with us.

2. Location and surroundings

a) In which city districts are the apartments located?

We offer over 80 apartments in very central locations in Zurich, all in popular neighborhoods such as District 6 (near ETH/the University) and areas near the main train station as well as in the Seefeld neighborhood.

b) How good are the public transportation connections?

All of our locations are excellently connected to Zurich’s train, tram, and bus networks. You can usually reach the main train station in less than 10–15 minutes.

3. Amenities and Services

a) Are the apartments fully furnished?

Yes, our apartments are “ready-to-live.” This means they come fully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen including dishes and cooking utensils, as well as bed linens and towels.

b) Can I book a cleaning service?

Yes, upon request, we offer a regular cleaning service every two weeks so that you can focus entirely on your work or personal life in Zurich. This service is billed separately and is not included in the lease agreement.

c) Do I have access to a washing machine?

Yes, laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer) are available for shared use in all of our properties.

4. Arrival and Formalities

a) Are the apartments suitable for registration with the local authorities?

Yes, since you will receive an official lease agreement for a furnished apartment, you can use it to register at the district office of the City of Zurich.

b) As a tenant, do I also have my own mailbox?

Yes, you will receive a mailbox in your name for your or your correspondence and parcel delivery.

c) How does the key handover work?

We organize a personal, very flexible key handover to ensure that your move to Zurich is as stress-free as possible.
